Pure Handmade Indian Copper

The bottles are made of pure copper (99.6%). The outer layer is lightly lacquered and the cap of the bottles contains a rubber edge so that the bottle does not leak (0.4%). The inside is 100% copper. The bottles can also have irregularities, which is part of the natural properties of copper.

Copper discolors over time as a result of oxidation. The material can also show 'stains'. These are both natural properties of copper and have no negative effect on drinking from a copper bottle or cup. This will mainly take place on the inside. The discolorations can occur as dark dots/smudges on the inside. In addition, it can become green(ish).

What does Ayurveda say about Copper?

For centuries the benefits of drinking copper water has been known in Ayurveda. Water left for a minimum of 8 to 10 hours in a copper vessel or bottle will balance the 3 Dosha's that circulate in the human body (Vata, Pitta and Kapha).  The water will transform into natural alkaline water, providing the necessary energy for cell regeneration and balance. Copper is also important for Fascia and bones and enhances the immune system. 2 to 3 cups of copper water per day are recommended.

Maintenance instructions:
